Roundtable - Interoperability and display of time dimension in spatial data

Tuesday 30 October 2018, 11:30am - 1pm, Chambéry, France

This roundtable aimed at discussing ways to share and work with geospatial data that have a time dimension. The time dimension allows for instance to analyse the spread of armed conflicts, to study movements of people in need during civil wars etc. The time dimension of geospatial data also concerns the temporality of data collection (as full collection takes time, several data versions exist for a field situation at a given date). Often these two time dimensions are ignored or intermingled in Information Management systems and exchange protocols. Better knowledge of existing solutions should help progress towards a better Information Management
