Internship “Structuring data on non‑violent actions”

The CYBIS project and IRNC are offering a paid internship in Grenoble, France, mainly in the first half of 2019. The internship will contribute to the compilation of political science data on non-violent actions. In particular, it will facilitate access to this data for researchers and the general public, contributing inter alia to the interoperability and documentation of this data. One of the objectives is to visualize this data on a platform derived from various tools developed by or with the CYBIS project, including PeacePRISM (http://cybis.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/fr/PeacePRISM) and the NMC Dashboard (http://cybis.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/fr/NMC). The table in the Appendix gives an overview of the data currently available, which are the subject of this work.

Supervision: Mayeul Kauffmann (mainly); other CESICE academics and other IRNC members.

Geographical location: University Grenoble Alpes, campus of Saint-Martin-d’Hères, France.

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Beginning of the internship: February, March or April 2019.

Indemnity: Approximately 600 euros net per month; flat-rate indemnity for 2 round-trip train tickets in metropolitan France (other countries: to be discussed).
